Moving up, but not moving on?

Sometimes things just fall into place and you have to realize it was meant to be. A couple who stopped by on Sunday to check out our Community was with Holiday Retirement. Their title is Regional Support Team, or relief managers. They fill in when managers go on vacation or quit and their replacements can't be on-site right away.

MB and I have often thought that we’d like to do that. We sent an email to our Regional Director to consider us if there was an opening. He emailed back that he has an immediate opening and after a few questions back and forth, we said let’s go for it and after his boss approved, we’re now the Regional Support team for the West Coast “lease-up” Region. Lease-up just means the newer communities that are still in the start up phase like the one we are in now. So…

Starting mid-October we are on the go. While we don’t know our first assignment yet it could be in Seattle, Reno, Las Vegas, Northern or Southern California. We fly to our assignment and rent a car using our company credit cards. The assignment could be for 2-4 weeks at a time. By the way, we will still have Temecula as our home base and live here in the Community. We’ll keep the same address, except the new apartment number is 106. we’re not planning on changing our phone numbers or email addresses.

We’re really excited and can't wait to get started. We’ll keep you posted.
